Synopsis:

Valencian incunabula from Pedro Trincher's printing house, from 1498, of which the only known copy in the world is kept in the Biblioteca Nacional de España. Its history of ownership and usage is particularly rich and shows the interest it has provoked among academics and bibliophiles when this Justa poética was held in Valencia in 1498, edited twenty years after the event. Fifteen poets intervene in the Justa and only one anonymously.

This rich history of ownership mentioned above includes the names of bibliophiles such as Croft, White Knights, Herber's and Thorpe; from whom Salvá acquires the sought after copy, as it is documented in the Superlibros, and later forms part of the library of the Count of Benahavs, Ricardo Heredia and Livermore, whose ex libris appears on the back cover. The Biblioteca Nacional de España acquired it in Paris in 1891 in its famous Parisian auction.

Its title page is constructed with a xylographic block which includes the title in white, on a black background, and below it shows a medal with the Virgin of Montserrat. Overleaf is the image of Saint Chistopher and at the end an image of Christ on the cross, both xylographic.
