Biography of Manuel Silvestre de Edeta:

MANUEL SILVESTRE DE EDETA. Sculptor:

Sculptor and painter. In his work highlights the everyday scenes of the countryside, the female nude, virginity of young women and motherhood.

Recognitions:

1933 Roig Award 1933-1934 and 1934-1935 the courses in the Escuela de BB.AA. de San Carlos, Valencia.

1948 Second prize in the poster competition for the Feria Muestrario Internacional de Valencia.

1955 Award poster for the I Bienal de Arte del Reino de Valencia.

1956 Third Medal for Sculpture in the Salón de Otoño de Madrid.

1957 Second Medal for Sculpture in the Salon d'Automne in Madrid.

1959 First Medal for Sculpture in the S Salón de Otoño de Madrid.

1960 Award of the City of Barcelona to the sculptural group "La Lección", which is installed in the Barcelona square Adriano.

1963 First Prize "Senyera" Sculpture, Valencia.

1963 Award for sculpture at the Salón de Otoño, Real Academia Santa Isabel de Hungría, Seville.

1966 First prize for sculpture at the Salón de Otoño de Palma de Mallorca.

1967 Award "Alonso Cano" in Granada.

1969 Award of the City of Seville.

1970 First Prize for Sculpture XX Exposición de Pintores y Escultores de África.

1973 First Prize for Sculpture and Medal of Honor of the majorcan Fundación Guell.

1973 First prize and Medal commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the International Feria Muestrario Internacional de Valencia.

1975 Sculpture Award of the Dirección General del Patrimonio Artístico in the Salón de Otoño celebrated in Seville.

1980 anthology Exhibitions in the hall of the City of Valencia and the city of Liria, El Forn de la Vila.

1981 Appointment as Academician of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos.
