Synopsis: The Historia de las amors e vida del cavaller Paris e de Viana is an erotic-chivalresque novel, whose plot was summed up thus by Ramón Menéndez Pidal: "it is reduced to a very simple fable of consistent and pursued love, enlivened with the usual memories of the Crusades and forced captivity in Palestine". This incunabula in colour, with no typographic indications, attributed to Diego de Gumiel's printing house around 1497, and here reproduced, is from the Biblioteca de Catalunya and is the only known copy in the world. Written in Catalan.
