Synopsis:

On the title page, on a double vertical legend, the XVI century reader was told (also to today's reader on this copy): “Whoever wanted to know many things about the world should buy this book and will know things which will frighten him”.

One can travel with the author to the Holy Land and other lands, and then in the second part of his work, one can find out, chapter by chapter that there are people who have dogs heads (images always included) and of other incredibly useful information as well as surprising  for the traveller.

The author was an English traveller (there are doubts as to whether he really did travel and of his true name). Born towards 1300, it seems, in St. Albans, he died in 1372 in Liege. From the written sources of Pliny to the abundant sources from the medieval bestiaries come these readings narrated by the author which almost makes us believe what he tells us.
