Synopsis:

First chronicle of the adventures of the Magnanimous King Alphonse V, perhaps the only copy in Valencia, since it does not appear in the Biblioteca Histórica de la Universitat de València, nor in that of Serrano Morales, the most comprehensive in this subject.

The title page is illustrated with a renaissance engraving in two colours, with the novelty of including : the printer’s mark, a mermaid with two tails.

Salvá qualifies this 1527 version as a very rare copy since Nicolás Antonio only quotes the 1530 edition, and the Valencian author of the Viaje literario, Villanueva, also is unaware of this edition, since he only mentions the Zaragoza edition of 1552.

Written by Antonio Panormitano, Sicilian Dominican, teacher of theology in the convent of his own order in Naples, in whose court Alphonse the Magnanimous spent the greatest part of his life.

The Spanish writer Juan de Molina translated it into Spanish, also author of the Crónica de los Reyes Católicos.
