Synopsis: It is the first Land Registry and birth certificate of the new Christian Kingdom of Valencia. October 9, 1238 is the symbolic date of the disappearance of Muslim Valencia and the birth of the new Christian Kingdom of Valencia. It is therefore the Birth Certificate of this Kingdom. It was written between 1239 and 1270. It includes the registered donations of properties from most part of the lands of the Kingdom of Valencia among the knights who helped King Jaime in the conquest, and who subsequently were their inhabitants. They come to us with the specific Arab names of both the beneficiaries and the aggrieved; of large houses, orchards or territories. The manuscript constitutes a historic document of the first magnitude. It provides a great wealth of data on the geography, demographics and socio-economic, urban and agrarian lifestyle of the Kingdom of Valencia.
